POLICY DOCUMENT · LAST UPDATED 25 AUGUST 2026
This is the privacy policy of AssignmentHelpNZ. It sets out the personal information we collect when you ask for a quote or place an order, the purpose each category serves, who may see it inside the company and outside it, how long every category is held before deletion, and the rights the Privacy Act 2020 gives you over all of it. It applies to this website and to every order placed through it.
Privacy questions and privacy requests go to info@assignmenthelpnz.com with the word privacy in the subject line, or through the contact page. The escalation route to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner is set out in full below.
Access, correction or deletion. No reason needed.

COLLECTION AND PURPOSE
Each category below is listed with the reason we ask for it. If a field has no job on an order, no form on this site asks for it.
Almost everyone who writes in is studying at a New Zealand institution, so the material that arrives is assessment material: the order brief you type, the marking rubric or grading matrix issued by your paper coordinator, the assessment brief itself, and any file you upload alongside them. We process that material for one purpose — quoting the work and producing the deliverable you asked for. A rubric is read to write against the criterion that will be marked. An assessment brief is read for scope, weighting and word count. Neither is copied into a template library, sent to another customer, or used to train anything. The same handling covers a short essay brief and a semester-long project. Institution names sometimes appear inside an uploaded rubric; we do not extract them into a database, do not build a customer list by university, and do not contact any institution for any reason.
Your student ID. Your university login. Your date of birth, address or card number. None improves a paper, and each raises what a breach would cost you. Paste one in out of habit and the coordinator strips it before a writer sees the file. Same rule for patient details in a nursing case scenario and client names in a law problem question: anonymise what you can, and we anonymise the rest.
THE LAW WE RUN UNDER
The Act sets thirteen information privacy principles. The ones that do most of the work here are set out below, with what each obliges us to do.
Principles 1 and 3 let us gather only what a stated purpose needs, and require us to name that purpose up front. That is the third column above.
Principle 5 demands reasonable safeguards against loss and unauthorised access. Here: encrypted transfer, access limited by role, and no order file living on anyone's personal laptop.
Principle 9 bans holding information longer than its purpose requires. Retention becomes a schedule, not a habit, and ours is published below rather than kept internal.
Principle 11 limits who information may be passed to; principle 12 adds conditions before anything goes offshore. Neither permits selling data or treats a marketing list as a purpose.
The Act also runs a notifiable breach scheme. Where a breach is likely to cause serious harm, we must tell the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and the people affected as soon as we reasonably can. Our rule is shorter: notify early, say plainly what was exposed and what is being done. No student should hear about their own breach from someone else.
INTERNAL ACCESS
An order passes a short internal chain and stops there. Each role sees a different slice of it, and only the first has your name attached.
Sees your name, email and the whole brief. Quotes it, strips identifying detail from the attachments, hands the rest on. The only role holding your contact details.
Sees an order number, the task, the criteria sheet, the word count. Not your name, email or institution. The panel is public on the writer profiles page.
Runs the similarity pass, the detection pass and the referencing sweep on the same anonymised order. Holds it only until the checks clear.
We never contact an institution, never confirm to anyone that you are a customer, and hold no arrangement with any New Zealand university or polytechnic. Your side we cannot control: an email forwarded to a tutor, a file opened on a campus machine, a shared account. Keep the order in a personal inbox. Where the line sits is set out in our academic integrity position.
SUPPLIERS, BY FUNCTION
No service this size runs entirely on its own infrastructure. The outside suppliers are listed by function below, each given the minimum its one job needs.
Card details go from your browser to the payment company and never pass through us. Back comes a reference code, an amount and a status. That is why a refund is traced by order number rather than by card. What triggers one sits in the refund policy.
The finished document goes through a similarity checker and a machine-authorship detector so both reports travel with your file. It is uploaded under the order number, no author name attached, using the setting that stops the tool adding your text to its comparison database.
Quotes, questions and finished files reach you by email, so a provider handles your address and keeps sending logs of its own. Would rather no file sat in an inbox? Say so and we hand it over another way.
Order files sit on managed hosting, not a staff device. Some of that infrastructure may sit outside New Zealand, and principle 12 then applies: we must be satisfied the receiving country's safeguards are comparable. Ask where yours is held and you get a straight answer.
What is absent matters as much. No advertising pixel follows you off this site, and nothing is sold to a data broker or passed to another academic service. Every paper type, from research paper support to slide deck builds, runs on this same short chain.
A SCHEDULE, NOT A HABIT
Most services answer this with "as long as necessary", which tells you nothing. This AssignmentHelpNZ privacy policy answers with a schedule, reviewed yearly.
Long projects run their own clock. A chapter-by-chapter thesis chapter build spans two semesters, so its source material stays live until the final chapter is signed off. Want a file gone early? That is always a valid request, and it needs no reason.
FROM UPLOAD TO DELETION
The criteria sheet you upload is often the most identifying thing you send: a course code, a paper number, sometimes a lecturer's name.
Uploads travel over an encrypted connection and sit encrypted on managed storage. Attachments are never emailed between staff, and no order file reaches a personal device.
A writer's access is tied to the order and shuts when the revision window does. It is not a folder they keep. The panel runs to 450+ verified writers and subject experts, and exactly one of them reads your brief.
When a retention date passes the record leaves live systems and drops out of backups on their next cycle. Nothing is archived to a sample library; none exists.
A finished document is written once, for one student, and never resold or turned into a sample. Copyright passes to you on payment, stated properly in our terms of service. That rule is why code delivered through programming assignment support never surfaces in another student's repository.
CHECKS ON DELIVERED WORK
Two automated checks run on the finished document before it reaches you, and both send your text to an outside tool. That is a disclosable data flow, so it is set out here rather than left in a footnote.
The text of the delivered document, and nothing attached to it. It is submitted under the order number with no author name, no email address and no institution, using each tool's setting that stops the submission being added to a comparison repository. Your uploaded rubric, your assessment brief and your own draft are never sent to either tool — only the work we produced for you.
A similarity index and a machine-authorship score, both returned to the checker and passed on to you with the file. They are not stored against your name, not published, not shared with another customer and never sent to an institution. The reports exist so you can see the same measurements a marker sees before you decide what to do with the work.
Both tools are third-party processors, named by function in the supplier section above and identified there for the client to confirm. Each holds a submission only as long as its own account settings allow, and where that processing happens outside New Zealand, principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020 applies to it exactly as it applies to hosting. A file uploaded for rewriting a flagged draft follows the same path and the same retention clock as any other source file: it is a source file, no field on your record marks it as anything else, and it is deleted thirty days after delivery or sooner on request. Students working with the Auckland team are covered by the identical process, because there is only one process.
REQUESTS YOU CAN MAKE
Rights under New Zealand law, not favours a business grants. Each costs one email, and none asks you to explain yourself.
Ask for a copy and the Act gives us 20 working days. You get the record itself, not a summary, and a straightforward request carries no charge.
Tell us a detail is wrong and it gets fixed. If we disagree, you can require your correction to be attached to the record — and it stays attached.
Email the privacy address and everything except the order and payment record goes, usually inside five working days. That one survives an audit obligation we cannot waive.
Raise it with us first. If the answer does not satisfy you, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner takes complaints about any New Zealand agency — no permission needed.
This AssignmentHelpNZ privacy policy gives these rights to everyone who has written in, order or not — including whoever asked once about exam preparation sessions in 2019 and never came back.
THE REQUEST ROUTE, IN ORDER
A request needs no template, no legal phrase, no reason. One sentence naming what you want is valid and starts the clock.
Email our privacy contact at info@assignmenthelpnz.com with "privacy" in the subject. Name what you want — a copy, a correction, a deletion — and add the order number if you have one.
Other routes are on the contact page. The desk runs on NZ time, around the clock.
An acknowledgement inside one working day, then a full answer inside the 20 working days the Privacy Act 2020 allows. Need longer and we must say why before that period ends, not after.
Refuse any part and we give the reason in writing, with the ground it rests on.
Unhappy with the outcome? The Office of the Privacy Commissioner investigates complaints about New Zealand agencies at no cost to you.
We treat that as normal, and it changes nothing about an order running or a refund owed.
AssignmentHelpNZ is the trading name behind this website and the agency responsible for the information described here. Post reaches Level 3, 55 Shortland Street, Auckland CBD 1010. The phone number on every page is answered by the team that runs the orders, so the privacy inbox is read by people who can action a request rather than log it. Every service, from long dissertation projects to a single proofread of your own writing, sits under it.
VERSIONING, IN PUBLIC
Policies drift. A supplier is swapped, a tool changes its retention default, a law is amended. When that alters what happens to your information, this AssignmentHelpNZ privacy policy is updated first and the date below moves with it.
Wording fixes are made quietly. A change to what we collect, who receives it, or how long it stays is different: with an order open, or one closed inside the past twelve months, you get an email before it takes effect. We never backdate a change onto information already collected.
Disagree with a future version and the deletion request above stays open, order or no order. Not sure which page you needed to begin with? The main assignment service page is where to start, and who we are and how we work covers what this policy leaves alone.
