THE REAL PROBLEM
Engineering is marked like a professional document, not like a maths test. Your answer can be within a percent of the model solution and still lose half the marks, because the marker could not follow how you got there or what you assumed on the way.
The pattern is always the same: an assumption made silently in your head, a unit carried wrong through three steps, or a clause paraphrased instead of quoted. Each of those is small on its own and each one is worth real marks.
The test is whether another engineer could pick up your sheet and repeat the work. If they cannot, the number at the bottom does not protect you.

BRIEF 01 — STRUCTURAL

Clean contour plots, no mesh convergence check and no justification for the restraints applied. The setup section was rebuilt to state each boundary condition and why it represents the real component.

A simulation is only as good as its setup, and that is exactly where the marking scheme puts the weight.
BRIEF 03 — CAD & PROJECT
Drawing set plus design report · second year
The geometry was correct, half the views had no dimensions, layers were undisciplined and the title block was incomplete. Each sheet was marked up against drawing conventions and the report was restructured around the corrected set.
